Tsunami Super WAV Trigger

Tsunami Super WAV Trigger

Discontinued

The Tsunami Super WAV Trigger is a powerful polyphonic audio playback board built on an ARM Cortex M7 processor. It can play up to 32 mono or 18 stereo uncompressed 44.1 kHz, 16-bit WAV tracks simultaneously, with each track independently controllable for volume, playback rate, looping, and output routing.

With 8 audio output channels (configurable as 8 mono or 4 stereo pairs), 16 trigger inputs, a dedicated MIDI port with built-in opto-isolator, and extensive serial control, the Tsunami is ideal for interactive installations, themed entertainment, escape rooms, and professional sound design. Developed in collaboration with Robertsonics.

Key Features

  • 32 Mono / 18 Stereo Polyphony – Mix and play tracks simultaneously with independent control
  • 8 Audio Output Channels – Configurable as 8 mono or 4 stereo pairs; any track routable to any output
  • Up to 4,096 WAV Files – Uncompressed 16-bit, 44.1 kHz CD-quality audio from microSD
  • Seamless Looping – Over arbitrary track lengths with no gaps
  • Real-Time Pitch Bend – Per-output sample-rate conversion for pitch control
  • 16 Trigger Inputs – Individually configurable for contact closure or 3.3V logic; edge, latched, or level sensitive
  • Dedicated MIDI Port – Integrated opto-isolator; velocity-sensitive triggering with adjustable attack and release
  • Synced Set Triggering – Start up to 8 mono tracks in perfect sample-sync for surround sound (5.1/7.1)
  • Output Volume Range – +10 dB to -70 dB per output
  • Fast Trigger Response – 8 ms typical, 12 ms maximum
