The official Raspberry Pi SSD Kit bundles the M.2 HAT+ adapter with a 512GB NVMe SSD, giving your Raspberry Pi 5 dramatically faster storage for I/O-intensive applications and super-fast boot times. Simply connect the HAT+ to the Pi 5's PCIe connector and install the SSD — no additional drivers required.
The kit uses the single-lane PCIe 2.0 interface on the Raspberry Pi 5, delivering up to 500 MB/s peak transfer rates. The included 512GB NVMe SSD in the compact M.2 2230 form factor provides 50k IOPS for random reads and 90k IOPS for random writes.
