Infrared Non-contact Thermometer (Qwiic) - MLX90632

The MLX90632 is a compact infrared non-contact temperature sensor in an SMD package, capable of measuring object surface temperature remotely with ±1 °C accuracy. Point the sensor at a target and read its temperature via I2C — no physical contact required.

This SparkX carrier board breaks out the MLX90632 with two Qwiic connectors for fast I2C daisy-chaining, plus jumpers to control the I2C address and remove pull-up resistors as needed.

Key Features

  • Non-Contact IR Measurement – Remotely measure object surface temperature
  • 0.02 °C Resolution – Over the −20 °C to +85 °C range
  • 50° Field of View – Wide sensing angle
  • Low Power – 1 mA supply current
  • 2× Qwiic Connectors – Quick I2C connection, no soldering required
  • I2C Address Jumper – Configurable address for multi-sensor setups
  • Compact SMD Package – Much smaller than traditional IR thermometer modules
