The Adafruit DotStar FeatherWing adds a dazzling 6×12 matrix of 72 individually addressable RGB LEDs to any Feather board. Each tiny 2 mm × 2 mm DotStar pixel delivers full 24-bit colour and is controlled via a 2-wire SPI interface using just two digital I/O pins.
Power is automatically sourced from either USB or battery via dual Schottky diodes, supporting up to 1 A continuous draw. A power MOSFET ties into the Feather's ENABLE pin so the wing powers down when the Feather is disabled. Default data and clock pin assignments can be changed by cutting and re-soldering the jumpers on the underside.
