The Digilent Analog Discovery 2 is a pocket-sized USB multi-function instrument that combines an oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyser, power supplies, and more into a single device. Developed in conjunction with Analog Devices and supported by the Xilinx University Program, it replaces a full bench of lab equipment for mixed-signal circuit analysis.

Driven by the free WaveForms software (Mac, Linux, and Windows), the Analog Discovery 2 can be configured as any of its built-in instruments. Connect to circuits using the included flywire signal cable assembly.

Built-in Instruments

  • Oscilloscope – 2-channel, 1MΩ, ±25V differential, 14-bit, 100MS/s, 30MHz+ bandwidth
  • Function Generator – 2-channel arbitrary waveform, ±5V, 14-bit, 100MS/s, 20MHz+ bandwidth
  • Logic Analyser – 16-channel, 3.3V CMOS, 100MS/s
  • Pattern Generator – 16-channel, 3.3V CMOS, 100MS/s
  • Power Supplies – 2 programmable outputs (0 to +5V, 0 to -5V)
  • Voltmeter – Single channel, AC/DC, ±25V
  • Network Analyser – Bode, Nyquist, Nichols plots, 1Hz to 10MHz
  • Spectrum Analyser – Power spectrum, noise floor, SFDR, SNR, THD
  • Bus Analysers – SPI, I²C, UART, Parallel
  • Audio Amplifier – Stereo output for headphones or speakers
  • Virtual Digital I/O – 16-channel buttons, switches, and LEDs
  • Trigger Signals – 2 digital I/O for linking instruments (3.3V CMOS)
