## Description

The TIP122G is a high-power NPN Darlington transistor for switching heavier loads from a low-current microcontroller output. It is well suited to projects where an Arduino, Raspberry Pi or similar controller needs to drive a motor, solenoid, high-power LED strip or relay.A Darlington transistor combines two transistors in one package, giving this part a very high DC current gain. That means a small 3.3V or 5V logic-level signal can control a much larger load current when the circuit is designed correctly.This through-hole device is intended for general-purpose amplification and low-speed switching, making it a useful digital on/off switch for maker and electronics projects.
