## Description

The TCA9548A 1-to-8 I2C multiplexer solves the common problem of needing multiple I2C devices with the same address on a single bus. It acts as a gatekeeper, routing I2C traffic to any of its eight downstream channels on command. Simply write a single byte to the multiplexer's I2C address (default 0x70, configurable 0x70–0x77) to select which channel receives subsequent I2C communication. With up to 8 multiplexers on a single bus, you can theoretically address 64 identical I2C devices.
