SparkFun LTE CAT M1/NB-IoT Shield - SARA-R4 (with Hologram SIM Card)
Discontinued
The SparkFun LTE CAT M1/NB-IoT Shield adds cellular data connectivity to your Arduino or Arduino-compatible microcontroller. Built around the u-blox SARA-R410M-02B modem, it supports both Cat M1 and NB-IoT (Narrowband IoT) — two LPWAN technologies designed for low-power IoT devices operating on standard LTE network bands. A Hologram SIM card is included to get you online quickly.
The modem communicates over UART using AT commands, and an Arduino library is provided for everything from SMS messaging to TCP/IP server communication. A Qwiic connector provides an I2C GPS interface for u-blox GPS modules, enabling remote location tracking.
Key Features
- u-blox SARA-R410M-02B Modem – LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT dual-mode connectivity
- Hologram SIM Card Included – Global data network access out of the box
- Arduino R3 Footprint – Direct compatibility with Arduino and compatible boards
- UART AT Command Interface – Simple serial communication with provided library
- Qwiic GPS Connector – I2C interface for u-blox GPS modules (GPS not included)
- Onboard Ceramic Antenna – Molex 1462000001 SMD, 3.8 dBi gain (1.7–2.7 GHz)
- U.FL Connector – Optional external antenna support (cut jumper to enable)
