smôl ZOE-M8Q
Discontinued
The smôl ZOE-M8Q is a miniaturised GNSS receiver board built around the u-blox ZOE-M8Q 72-channel module. It receives signals from GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo constellations simultaneously for improved precision and faster position lock. Designed for the smôl ecosystem, it connects via 16-way 0.5 mm FPC cables and can be stacked with other smôl boards.
To minimise power consumption, the ZOE-M8Q can be fully powered down via GPIO0 when not in use. An on-board rechargeable battery maintains the RTC and orbit data for up to five hours without power, reducing time-to-first-fix from ~26 s (cold) to ~1 s (hot). A u.FL connector accepts both standard ceramic and chip-scale antennas, with 3.3 V provided for active antennas.
