It is made from dozens of micro LED diodes bonded to a flexible printed circuit backing, then coated in silicone for protection.The LEDs are arranged in parallel, so the filament lights from around 3V and behaves much like a long LED. Adafruit recommends using a current-limiting resistor and keeping current to a maximum of 50mA.The two contacts are on one end for easier installation in tight spaces. The positive anode is the metal end with the little hole; if it does not light immediately, reverse the connection.
