## Description

A 120 x 120 cm lunar landscape mat for indoor work with Rugged Robot. Rugged Robot is built for the playground, but wet-weather timetables and shared hall time are a fact of school life, and this mat gives the robot a proper surface to run on when the lesson stays inside. The landscape is deliberately open. Craters and features give students landmarks to navigate towards, while the clear areas are there for you to add your own obstacles, props and landing markers, so the same mat can carry a simple "drive to the crater" task in one lesson and a multi-stage rescue mission with hazards the next. Pairs naturally with space topics: plotting a landing site, measuring the shortest route between two points, or writing a program that has to survey several locations in a set order.
