## Description

Designed for industrial water-quality monitoring, this turbidity probe measures suspended particles using the 90° light scattering principle. The probe and housing are integrated into a compact IP68 unit, so it can be submerged for extended periods in applications such as drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, river monitoring and lake monitoring. It communicates over RS485 using the standard ModBus-RTU protocol, making it suitable for data logging and environmental IoT installations. Tutorials are provided for connecting the sensor to Arduino development boards and the DFRobot LoRaWAN Series, with the product wiki available for setup guidance. The sensor uses an infrared LED light source, a fibre optic light path design and a filtering algorithm to resist external light interference. It is factory calibrated, supports two-point electrode calibration via register settings, and includes built-in temperature sensing for automatic temperature compensation. The shipping list includes RS485 Water Quality Turbidity Sensor x1 and 5m sensor cable x1.Features:Simple calibration: Simple calibration function, supporting two-point electrode calibrationMeasurement range: 0~1000 NTUResolution: 0.1 NTUAccuracy: ±5% FSIntegrated probe housing: Integrated probe housing designWaterproof rating: Waterproof rating up to IP68Measurement principle: 90° light scattering principleFiltering algorithm: Strong resistance to external light interferenceBuilt-in temperature sensor: Built-in temperature sensorAutomatic temperature compensation: Automatic temperature compensation to ensure measurement accuracyRS485 communication interface: RS485 communication interfaceModBus-RTU support: Supporting ModBus-RTU protocolSpecifications:Power Supply Voltage: 10~30V DCPower Consumption: 0.2WCommunication Interface: RS485 (Standard ModBus-RTU protocol)Measurement Range - Turbidity: 0~1000 NTUMeasurement Range - Temperature: 0°C~+60°CMeasurement Accuracy - Turbidity: ±5% FS (25℃)Measurement Accuracy - Temperature: ±0.5°CResolution - Turbidity: 0.1 NTUResolution - Temperature: 0.1°CTemperature Compensation Range: 0°C~+60°CResponse Time: ≤30SOperating Temperature: 0°C~+40°CMeasurement Principle: 90° Light Scattering MethodWaterproof Rating: IP68Pressure Resistance: 0.6MPaCable Length: 5mHousing Material: Corrosion-resistant plasticFor deployment, maintain a minimum installation clearance of 5cm from surrounding walls and a 7cm obstacle-free zone directly below the probe, avoid active air bubbles, and remove the black rubber protective cover before use. Host polling intervals and wait response times must be set strictly above 200ms; for sustained accuracy, recalibrate every 90 days using deionized water (0 NTU) and a 1000 NTU standard solution. When interfacing with 5V MCUs such as Arduino UNO via an RS485-to-UART module, use a separate 12V supply for the sensor only if the system cannot provide the required 10~30V DC, and ensure common ground (GND) across the power supply, sensor and MCU.

**Product Type:** Turbidity Sensor
