The RPLiDAR S2L is a 360° laser range scanner from SLAMTEC using Direct Time-of-Flight (DTOF) ranging technology. It delivers consistent resolution regardless of distance and can detect objects of virtually any material — including dark surfaces, mirrors, and transparent glass. With an 18-metre range radius and 32,000 samples per second, it's designed for commercial robotics and navigation applications. The S2L is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance, handles ambient light up to 80,000 lux for reliable indoor and outdoor use, and shares the same interface as the A-series RPLiDARs for seamless upgrades. The compact scanning optical area is just 18mm tall for easy integration.
