## Description

This HCPL-817 opto-isolator provides a single isolated channel for letting a simple microcontroller switch an external load. It is useful when you want to separate low-voltage control electronics from circuits driving relays, small motors or similar loads.The device comes in a 4-pin DIP through-hole package, making it straightforward to use on a breadboard, prototyping board or custom PCB. It can switch up to 50mA on its output channel.Sold as an individual unit.
