Intel® Edison Compute Module
Discontinued
The Intel Edison is a compact computing platform built on a 22nm Intel SoC, combining a dual-core Intel Atom CPU at 500 MHz with a 32-bit Intel Quark microcontroller at 100 MHz. Despite its tiny form factor (roughly the size of a postage stamp), it packs serious processing power for IoT and embedded applications.
With built-in dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the Edison is essentially wireless out of the box. It includes 1GB LPDDR3 RAM and 4GB eMMC storage, plus support for 40 GPIOs when paired with a breakout board.
Key Features
