## Description

This highly integrated Espressif Wi-Fi system-on-chip is designed for compact Internet of Things hardware that needs reliable 2.4GHz wireless networking with efficient power usage.The ESP8266EX can run as a standalone application processor or operate as a Wi-Fi adapter for a host microcontroller over SPI/SDIO or UART. When hosting an application, it boots from flash, and its integrated high-speed cache helps improve system performance and memory use.On-chip integration includes antenna switches, RF balun, power amplifier, low-noise receive amplifier, filters and power management modules, helping minimise PCB size and external circuitry. It also includes an enhanced Tensilica L106 Diamond series 32-bit processor, on-chip SRAM, and GPIOs for connecting external sensors and devices.Sold as individual units.
