Unlike most mesh nodes, it needs no phone: you type, read and navigate on the device itself. Pre-installed with MeshCore firmware, it joins the mesh as soon as you power it on.\n\nBuilt around the ESP32-S3 and the Semtech LR1110 LoRa transceiver, with GPS, a magnetic compass and a 2300mAh battery in a pocket-sized 10.3mm-thin body.\n\n\nImportant — this is the MeshCore version: The M9 ships with MeshCore firmware, not Meshtastic. The two protocols cannot talk to each other, and only one can run on the device at a time. Check which network your local mesh community is running before you buy. Not sure of the difference? Read our guide: MeshCore vs Meshtastic.\n\n\nKey Features\n\n\nFull QWERTY Keyboard – 37 physical keys for real typing. No phone, no app, no pairing needed to send a message.\n\n2.4\" Colour LCD – 240×320 TFT display at 200 cd/m², bright enough to read messages, maps and node lists at a glance.\n\nMeshCore Pre-Installed – Joins the decentralised mesh right after power-on, with no setup required to start receiving.\n\nSemtech LR1110 LoRa – Long-range 915MHz transmission for Australia and New Zealand, via an internal FPC omni-directional antenna.\n\nESP32-S3 Processor – Dual-core Xtensa LX7 at 240MHz with 8MB PSRAM and 16GB of onboard storage.\n\nGPS and Compass – Multi-constellation positioning (GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS) plus a magnetic compass sensor for location sharing and navigation.\n\n2300mAh Battery – Two to three days in standby, charged over USB-C.\n\nWi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 – For configuration and for connecting to companion apps when you want them.\n\n\nSpecifications\n\n\nProcessor: ESP32-S3R8, Xtensa 32-bit LX7 dual-core @ 240MHz\n\nMemory: 512KB SRAM, 8MB PSRAM, 384KB ROM\n\nStorage: 16GB onboard flash\n\nDisplay: 2.4\" TFT-TN LCD, 240×320, 200 cd/m²\n\nKeyboard: 37-key full QWERTY\n\nLoRa: Semtech LR1110, 915MHz (AU/NZ/US)\n\nWireless: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0\n\nGNSS: GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS\n\nSensors: Magnetic compass\n\nAntennas: Internal FPC omni-directional for LoRa and Wi-Fi/BT; ceramic passive GPS antenna\n\nBattery: 2300mAh lithium-polymer, 3.8V — 2 to 3 days standby\n\nInterface: USB Type-C 2.0\n\nOperating Temperature: −10°C to 60°C\n\nDimensions: 126 × 67 × 10.3mm\n\nWeight: 123g\n\nCertifications: CE, FCC, RoHS\n\nDevelopment: MicroPython, C/C++, ESP-IDF, Arduino IDE, LVGL\n\n\nIdeal For\n\nBushwalking, camping and outdoor adventure\nEmergency and disaster preparedness\nRemote-site and field operations\nCommunity off-grid mesh networks\nAnyone who wants to type a message without pulling out a phone\n\n\nPackage Contents\n\n1× ThinkNode M9 Full Keyboard Terminal (MeshCore)\n1× USB Cable\n1× ThinkNode M9 Starter Card\n\n\nResources\n\nMeshCore vs Meshtastic: which should you run?\nMeshCore Project Site\nMeshCore Web Flasher\n","vendor":"Elecrow","product_type":"physical","in_stock":false,"options":[],"variants":[{"id":16440,"title":"Default Title","sku":"EC-LMM16509D2-915","mpn":"LMM16509D2","price":109.0,"on_sale":false,"in_stock":false,"available_quantity":0,"option1":"Default Title"}],"documents":[{"title":"MeshCore vs Meshtastic: what's actually different","type":"blog_post","type_label":"Article / Blog Post","url":"https://littlebirdelectronics.com.au/blogs/news/meshcore-vs-meshtastic-what-s-actually-different-and-which-should-you-flash","link":true,"description":"Our guide to the two protocols and which one to run"},{"title":"MeshCore Project Site","type":"reference","type_label":"Useful Link","url":"https://meshcore.co.uk/","link":true,"description":"Official MeshCore site, apps and supported devices"},{"title":"MeshCore Web Flasher","type":"reference","type_label":"Useful Link","url":"https://flasher.meshcore.io/","link":true,"description":"Flash or update MeshCore firmware from Chrome"},{"title":"CE Report","type":"compliance","type_label":"Compliance","url":"https://www.elecrow.com/download/product/LMM16509D/CE_Report_of_ThinkNode-M9.pdf","link":false,"file_extension":"PDF"},{"title":"RoHS Report","type":"compliance","type_label":"Compliance","url":"https://www.elecrow.com/download/product/LMM16509D/RoHS_Report_of_ThinkNode-M9.pdf","link":false,"file_extension":"PDF"},{"title":"MeshCore Documentation","type":"wiki","type_label":"Wiki / Docs","url":"https://docs.meshcore.nz/","link":true,"description":"Official MeshCore docs — device roles, repeater setup and firmware"}]}
