## Description

The Bus Pirate 5 SOIC/SOP8 SPI Flash Adapter makes it easy to program bare SPI flash memory chips without clips or soldering. The spring-loaded ZIF socket accepts SOP8 packages in both 150 mil and 208 mil widths — the most common flash memory form factors — allowing quick chip insertion and removal. Simply press down on the socket to retract the spring fingers, place the chip with pin 1 aligned to the marker, and release. The spring fingers grip the chip securely for reliable contact during programming.
