A classic 16×2 character LCD running at 3.3V, with a yellow LED backlight and black characters on a green background. Uses the industry-standard ST7066/HD44780 parallel interface — library support is available for virtually every microcontroller platform, making it straightforward to integrate into 3.3V projects. Requires approximately 11 general I/O pins for the parallel interface.
