Ambient Light Sensor - VEML7700 (Qwiic)
Discontinued
The VEML7700 is a high-accuracy 16-bit digital ambient light sensor on a Qwiic-enabled breakout board, delivering direct lux readings over I2C. With a detection range from 0 lx to approximately 167 klx and resolution down to 0.005 lx/count, it provides precise ambient light measurement for a wide range of applications.
The sensor uses Vishay's FiltronTM technology to closely match the human eye's spectral response, with built-in 100 Hz and 120 Hz flicker noise rejection. Two Qwiic connectors make daisy-chaining simple, and the included Arduino library automatically converts raw sensor data into lux with gain and integration time compensation.
