## Description

This compact breakout measures true ambient CO2 concentration using photoacoustic sensor technology, rather than estimating CO2 from VOC gas concentration. It reports CO2 in parts per million and also includes integrated temperature and humidity sensing, making it useful for indoor air quality, ventilation studies, environmental sensing and scientific experiments.The SCD-43 is the latest wide-range variant in the SCD-4x family, with a 400~5000 ppm CO2 range and improved accuracy compared with earlier versions described by the supplier. It also supports single-shot measurements and is designed for demanding indoor air quality applications.Adafruit has mounted the sensor on a custom STEMMA QT form-factor PCB with I2C data, so it works nicely with many microcontrollers and microcomputers. STEMMA QT connectors on both sides are compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors, enabling solderless connections or chaining with other compatible sensors and accessories.The board can run from 3.3 to 5V and includes a 3.3V regulator plus level shifters to help provide a quiet supply and suit 5V microcontrollers such as an Arduino UNO.
