The PVC-coated wires and epoxy-covered LED dots are suitable for temporary outdoor use, but they are not intended to be washed or dunked underwater.Connectors are pre-attached, and the strand can also be carefully soldered to via the solid wires. The wire closest to the green dot is ground, the opposite wire is power, and the centre line is data in; the point on the green dot indicates data direction. The strand can be cut with wire cutters or connected to other strands, provided your 5V supply can handle the current required.An Adafruit tutorial is available covering NeoPixel wiring, power usage calculations and example code.
