## Description

The Adafruit MiCS-5524 Gas Sensor Breakout is a robust MEMS sensor from SGX Sensortech for detecting carbon monoxide, natural gas leaks, alcohol, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It provides a simple analogue voltage output that increases in proportion to the concentration of detected gas — just power it at 5V and read the analogue pin. The sensor is suitable for indoor air quality monitoring, breath checking, and early fire detection applications. Note that while it detects multiple gas types, it cannot differentiate between them.
