## Description

The Adafruit MAX17048 LiPoly/LiIon Fuel Gauge and Battery Monitor gives you accurate battery voltage and charge percentage readings for your 1S 3.7–4.2V lithium polymer or lithium ion battery. Instead of guessing remaining capacity from a non-linear voltage curve, this smart sensor does the maths for you — delivering a reliable percentage readout just like the battery indicator on your phone. Communicating over I2C, the MAX17048 works with any microcontroller or microcomputer from Arduino to Raspberry Pi. It runs happily on both 3.3V and 5.0V power and logic, so there's no need to worry about level shifting.
