The Adafruit Infineon Trust M Breakout features the OPTIGA Trust M (SLS 32AIA) secure element — a hardware crypto authentication chip that stores private keys securely, performs cryptographic operations, and generates true random numbers. It communicates over I2C via STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors for easy solderless integration. OPTIGA Trust M is the next generation of Infineon&#39;s Trust X platform, adding RSA 1K/2K support alongside ECC NIST P256/P384. With 4.5 KB of user memory, it provides a robust hardware security foundation for IoT devices, secure boot, and certificate-based authentication.
