## Description

The Adafruit I2S MEMS Microphone Breakout features the SPH0645LM4H, a tiny digital MEMS microphone with a purely digital I2S output. Unlike analogue electret microphones, this mic sends digital audio data directly to your microcontroller — eliminating analogue noise and the need for an ADC. With a frequency range of approximately 50 Hz to 15 kHz, this microphone is well suited for general audio recording and sound detection. It works with any microcontroller or single-board computer that has an I2S peripheral, including the Arduino Zero, Feather M0, and Raspberry Pi.
