## Description

The Adafruit FT232H Breakout turns your computer into a versatile interface for hardware protocols. Using the FTDI FT232H chip with its multi-protocol synchronous serial engine, you can communicate directly with I2C, SPI, JTAG, and serial UART devices — plus read and write digital GPIO pins — all from your computer over USB, with no microcontroller required. This is especially useful for rapid prototyping and testing with Python. You can drive OLED displays, read sensors, flash LEDs, and more directly from your computer without needing to write and upload firmware to a separate board. The breakout includes an FT232H chip and an EEPROM for on-board configuration, and works with Mac, Windows, and Linux. Key Features FT232H Multi-Protocol Engine – Speaks SPI, I2C, serial UART, JTAG, and more over USB Digital GPIO – Read switches/buttons and write to LEDs directly from your computer No Microcontroller Needed – Connect sensors and devices straight to your computer via USB Python Support – Use Python libraries to control hardware on Mac, Windows, and Linux On-Board EEPROM – For device configuration USB Powered – No external power supply required Ideal For Rapid prototyping and testing I2C/SPI devices from a computer Python-based hardware control without a microcontroller JTAG debugging Driving displays, sensors, and LEDs directly from USB Package Contents 1× Adafruit FT232H Breakout
