LoRa modulation provides dramatically longer range than standard packet radio — over 2 km line-of-sight with default settings and a simple wire antenna, and up to 20 km with tuning and directional antennas.\n\nThe 433 MHz band is available as a license-free ISM band in many regions (ITU Region 1) and as an amateur radio band in others.
