The Adafruit + Cartoon Network Cosplay "The Works" Kit is the most comprehensive cosplay electronics kit, providing everything you need for glowing, interactive, and sound-enabled costumes and props. Built around the Circuit Playground Express with programmable NeoPixel LEDs, a powered speaker, and mechanical fastening supplies — all with no soldering required.

Program your Circuit Playground Express using MakeCode, Microsoft's drag-and-drop code editor, which works on any Mac, Windows, Linux, or ChromeBook computer. This kit includes everything from the Introductory and Basics kits plus additional accessories for larger and more ambitious builds.

Kit Contents

From the Introductory Kit:

  • 1× Cartoon Network Sticker Set with 22 unique vinyl stickers designed by Cartoon Network artists
  • 1× Circuit Playground Express (CPX)
  • 1× USB Cable (A/Micro-B, 3 ft) for programming
  • 1× AAA Battery Holder with on/off switch, JST connector, and belt clip
  • 3× Alkaline AAA batteries
  • 1× NeoPixel LED Strip with alligator clips (30 LEDs/metre, 1 metre)

From the Basics Kit:

  • 1× Circuit Playground Express clear enclosure
  • 1× Conductive Nylon Fabric Tape (8 mm × 10 metres)
  • 1× JST-PH Battery Extension Cable
  • 1× Magnetic Pin Back

"The Works" Additions:

  • 1× 3×AA Battery Holder with belt clip for longer-lasting power
  • 1× Bolt-On Kit for Circuit Playground — attach wired components or mount CPX to cardboard without glue
  • 1× Plastic Pop Rivets (20-pack) for easy cardboard construction
  • 1× STEMMA Speaker — 1W plug-and-play audio amplifier, louder than the CPX's built-in speaker
  • 1× JST PH 3-pin to alligator clips cable for connecting the speaker to CPX
