{"title":"AS5600 Magnetic Angle Sensor Breakout","handle":"adafruit-as5600-magnetic-angle-sensor","url":"/products/adafruit-as5600-magnetic-angle-sensor","description":"Add rotational sensing without a mechanical connection using the AS5600 magnetic angle sensor. This breakout can sense a rotating north/south magnetic field up to 3mm away from the chip body, making it useful for frictionless rotary encoders and contactless potentiometer-style controls.Magnetic angle sensing combines free 360 degree rotation with absolute position detection. Place a suitable magnet, such as a rare earth magnet, near the centre of the chip and rotate it in place; the firmware can report the angle from 0 to 359 with 0.1° precision and 0.4° accuracy.The board uses I2C and is supported by Arduino, Python and CircuitPython drivers. SparkFun qwiic-compatible STEMMA QT connectors are included for plug-and-play wiring to compatible microcontrollers and accessories, so you do not need to solder the I2C and power lines when using a suitable STEMMA QT cable.It comes as a fully assembled breakout board with a small bit of header. A QT cable is not included, and some light soldering is required if you want to attach the header for breadboard use.","vendor":"Adafruit","product_type":"Magnetic Angle Sensor","in_stock":true,"options":[],"variants":[{"id":15759,"title":"Default Title","sku":"AF-6357","mpn":"ADA6357","price":14.65,"on_sale":false,"in_stock":true,"available_quantity":100}]}
