## Description

This breakout is built around TI's ADS122C04, a high-resolution analogue-to-digital converter that lets you measure very small single-ended or differential signals over I2C. It offers 24-bit conversion with data rates up to 2 kSPS on one channel, making it a strong fit for scientific, industrial, and general data-acquisition jobs where you need more precision than common 16-bit I2C ADCs.The board exposes four analogue inputs that can be used as two differential pairs or four single-ended channels, along with a reset pin, an internal temperature sensor, an internal 2.048 V reference, external positive and negative reference inputs, and programmable gain up to 128x. It supports both 3 V and 5 V power and logic levels, and the two address pins let you run up to four boards on the same I2C bus.Adafruit has laid it out in the STEMMA QT form factor, with connectors on both sides that are also compatible with SparkFun Qwiic cables for quick solderless I2C wiring. A strip of 0.1" standard header is included for breadboard or perfboard use, and there are four mounting holes for easier installation in a project. Example code is provided for Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and CircuitPython. If you want to reach the full 2 kSPS rate, you'll need to run the I2C bus at 1 MHz and be able to process the incoming data quickly. It's a handy option for precision sensing, test setups, and custom instrumentation with everything from Arduino-compatible boards to Raspberry Pi.Specifications:Chip Current Consumption: as Low as 315 µA (typ)Wide Supply Range: 2.3 V to 5.5 VProgrammable Gain: 1 to 128Programmable Data Rates: Up to 2 kSPSEffective Resolution: Up to 20 Bits50-Hz and 60-Hz Rejection: Simultaneous 50-Hz and 60-Hz Rejection at 20 SPS With Single-Cycle Settling Digital FilterInputs: Two Differential or Four Single-Ended InputsDual-Matched Programmable Current Sources: 10 µA to 1.5 mAInternal 2.048-V Reference: 5 ppm/°C (typ) DriftOscillator: Internal 2% Accurate OscillatorInternal Temperature Sensor: 0.5°C (typ) AccuracyInterface: I2C-Compatible InterfaceSupported I2C Bus Speed Modes: Standard-Mode, Fast-Mode, Fast-Mode PlusProduct Dimensions: 25.5mm x 17.7mm x 4.7mm / 1.0" x 0.7" x 0.2"Product Weight: 1.6g / 0.1oz
