# Merging Orders

## Merging Orders

If you have placed multiple orders that have not yet been paid or shipped, you can merge them into a single order. This is a great way to save on shipping costs and simplify your paperwork.

### How to Merge Orders

1. Log in to your account and go to your [Orders](/account/orders) page.
2. You will see a list of your current orders. Look for the **Merge Orders** option.
3. Select the orders you want to combine.
4. Confirm the merge. The items from all selected orders will be consolidated into a single order.

### What Happens When Orders Are Merged

- All line items are combined into one order.
- Shipping is recalculated based on the combined weight and destination.
- You receive a single invoice for the merged order.
- The merged order retains the order number of the earliest order. The other order numbers are retired.

### When Merging Is Not Available

Orders cannot be merged if:

- Any of the selected orders have already been paid.
- Any of the selected orders have been partially or fully shipped.
- The orders have different shipping addresses. You will need to update them to match before merging.

Order merging is particularly useful for schools and businesses that place orders across multiple departments and want to consolidate them before payment.
