# Credit Notes

## Credit Notes

When a refund is issued for an order, Little Bird Electronics automatically generates a credit note. Credit notes serve as an official record of the refund and are important for accurate bookkeeping, especially for schools, businesses, and anyone who needs to keep tidy financial records.

### How Credit Notes Work

A credit note is created whenever a full or partial refund is processed on your order. Each credit note references the original invoice number, making it straightforward to match refunds against the corresponding purchase in your accounting system.

### How to Download a Credit Note

1. Log in to your Little Bird Electronics account.
2. Navigate to the **Orders** page.
3. Click on the order that was refunded to open the order detail page.
4. You will see the credit note listed alongside the original invoice. Click to download it.

### What's Included on a Credit Note

- Credit note number and date of issue
- Reference to the original invoice number
- Refunded line items and amounts
- GST adjustments
- Little Bird Electronics ABN and business details

Credit notes are available in PDF, CSV, and Markdown formats, just like invoices. If you need a credit note reissued or have questions about a refund, our support team is here to help.
