Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - 8GB

After some time using my first Raspberry Pi 4/4G as a general purpose travel computer, I have chosen to move it's role to that of a server, running RaspiOS RAID 1 to a pair of 1TB USB drives. The availability of the 8GB makes my new example even better suited to the variety of tasks the 4G version has performed so well. This new one will be my travelling computer, and sometime media player using LibreELEC KODI. When travelling the Pi4 is a perfectly acceptable little general-purpose computer. I vary the operating system I run on it between Manjaro, RaspiOS 64-bit (now booting off a USB3 SSD) and LibreELEC. I also use it to try out new operating systems as they become available; with these new larger memory examples I am limiting that to 64-bit operating systems.
To have all of the capabilities of the Pi4 in such a small, and silent, package is the realisation of a quest for an utterly silent computer that I had been working on for some 18 years. So I am really happy to have it realised. My expectation is that future operating systems for the Pi4 in particular will be ever more capable.
